Basically, there was a LOT of legal wrangling from Parker’s attorneys that delayed any court decision. Eventually, he admitted he wasn’t even an American citizen, which also had massive legal ramifications. So, to cut a long story short, they settled out of court. They agreed to pay him $2 million, in return he gave up his claim against any future income. RCA also agreed to pay the $2 million to Parker in return for the exclusive right to Elvis’ recordings.
